Complete Microbiome Mapping
The Complete Microbiome Mapping Test was designed to assess a patient’s microbiome from a single stool sample. The tests focus’ particular attention to microbes that cause disease or that disrupt normal microbial balance that may results in gastrointestinal dysregulation and contribute to illness.
Microbiome mapping is a comprehensive collection of microbial targets as well as immune and digestive markers. It screens for pathogenic bacteria, commensal bacteria, opportunistic pathogens, fungi, viruses, and parasites.
Cardiovascular Risk Assessment
This multi-marker approach can assess risk to the Cardiovascular system by identifying those individuals who might benefit from risk reduction strategies. Along with conventional cholesterol markers, other biomarkers such as lipoprotein (a), apolipoproteins A & B, homocysteine, fibrinogen and C-reactive protein (CRP) are included.
Cortisol/ Melatonin Salvia testing
Cortisol saliva hormone testing is a non-invasive test that serves as a reliable marker of stress response and a critical tool for revealing adrenal imbalances. Lifestyle, physical and psychological stresses put constant demands on the adrenal glands. If they become depleted adrenal fatigue or insufficiency may be experienced.
The most commonly referred hormone test examines 4 saliva samples over a 12-hour period for levels of cortisol 8am, 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm. This timing allows for assessment for the daily (diurnal) rhythm. The cortisol profile is particularly useful for patients with fatigue.
Likewise, salivary Melatonin testing is often recommended when sleep and fatigue are the patients main concerns. This test is often done at midnight.
DUTCH Test
DUTCH testing stands for ‘Dried Urine Testing for Comprehensive Hormones’ and offers an extensive profile of sex and adrenal (stress) hormones, along with their all-important metabolites (building blocks). This test also evaluates the daily (diurnal) pattern of free cortisol and cortisone across the day, plus measures melatonin. In addition, it provides several organic acid markers for key nutrients (B12, B6, glutathione) and neurotransmitter metabolism.
SIBO Test
SIBO stands for Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth.
Normally, bacteria are found in the trillions in the large intestine (aka colon), where they perform various healthy symbiotic functions for the human body.
SIBO is a condition where bacterial overgrowth occurs in the absorptive area of the body known as the small intestine. In turn, SIBO causes damage to the surface of the small intestine reducing the ability for the body to absorb nutrients from food and may cause unwanted abdominal symptoms.
