A core principle of Integrative Medicine is ‘test, don’t guess’. Blood tests referrals are provided via your chosen GP. If you do not have a GP we will refer you to GP’s who supports an Integrative medicine approach. By working with your GP this allows us to collaborate on results and utilise Medicare rebates where possible.
Private laboratory testing is an out of pocket expense. If these are recommended Angela will provide you with all the information to proceed with payment directly to the lab. It will be clear how much testing will cost before you accept the order. Typically, clinical lab testing costs between $200-500.
-
Integrative Medicine testing is typically completed at home apart from blood work, which requires a blood draw at a collection centre. You will receive detailed instructions on how to perform the tests correctly. Payment for testing is paid directly to the clinical lab as referred by Angela.
-
At this stage, Integrative Medicine services are not covered by Medicare or private health insurance.
Other than blood tests ordered by your GP, Integrative clinical lab testing is not covered by Medicare or private health insurance and is thus an out-of-pocket investment.
